GoDaddy Update #2
GoDaddy’s free privacy deal is too good to be true. If you order 5 or more domain names at one time, you can get free privacy for one year, but all of the domain names have to have the privacy option turned on before you check out and buy the domain names.
- (We made the mistake of only turning on the privacy for one of our 5 .info domain names and stopped there because at the bottom of the invoice, it said privacy registration $0.00. So we assumed that meant it applied to all of our domain names, but it only applied for the one. When we tried to go back and add privacy registration to our other 4 domain names, the control panel told us we needed to pay $6.99/yr per domain name to get the privacy turned on.)
- The following year, the privacy registration costs $6.99 per year for each domain name. (Regular price $8.99)
